As you may of heard the Treasury Department has released a new $10 bill. The banks will begin taking old bills out of circulation and within 4 to 6 months it will be hard to find an old $10 bill. Unfortunately, the new bill WILL NOT work in your existing bill acceptors. If you have the newer Mars bill acceptors (plastic), the upgrade process is quite simple. Newer Mars bill acceptors can be upgraded to take the new bill with a simple to use programmer (pictured on the right). This unit gets connected to your bill acceptor and with the touch of a button, it loads the new program into your acceptor. You can update each bill acceptor on your own and it only takes about 5 minutes per unit. If you are interested in upgrading your acceptors, the cost to do so is $18.50 per bill acceptor plus a $50 rental fee for the programmer. The $50 rental fee gives you the unit for up to 3 weeks. For each additional week you keep the unit, you will be billed $25. If the programmer is not returned or is damaged, you will be charged the full replacement value of $295.

When you order this part online, enter the qty of bill acceptors you want to update. When you get your invoice it will include a $50 rental charge + a charge of $18.50 for each bill acceptor you wish to upgrade. You will also receive a second invoice for $235.00 for the bill programmer. $235 will be credited when you return the programmer back to us.
