Industrial DVD Player
Item SKU: 355
Our Price: $248.00

New model released on February 1st, 2008

This unit is the same as our older #1949, #2399 and #355 model with a few new exciting changes:

1 - This player will play almost any disc (DVD, DVD-R, DVD+R, Standard CDs, MP3 CDs and picture CDs). We have tried thousands of discs in this player and have yet to find one that won't play.

2 - This unit plays the disc instantly. It will skip the menu, previews and commercials on 99.9% of all discs.

3 - The remote has been programmed with an "ALL OFF" power button and an "ALL ON" power button. This allows you to turn on and off dozens or hundreds of players at one time without running into the issue of turning some players back on while trying to turn off others.

4 - This unit uses more reliable components and a much better quality IDE Loader.

5 - This unit has Component, S-Video and Composite Video outputs.

The 4400 was designed to be as compact as possible (8" wide x 10" deep x 3 1/4" tall).

The DVAP is a combination of three main sections. The player contains an MPEG and control board, each of which is expected to have a 10 year life span. The wearable parts like the laser, drive motor and loading motor are all contained in a simple to exchange IDE drive. We estimate this drive will last between 2 to 3 years and can be replaced for around $98. All retail DVD players are made to play 2 to 3 movies a week. When movies are played 16-24 hours a day the first part to fail is the drive motor. Retail DVD players use a “brush motor”, this is basically a motor that has two main parts that “brush” against each other which causes the motor to wear out. Our 4400 uses a brush less, magnetic motor.
